Entrelazados is, above all, a memoir that aims to intervene in the dispute over the interpretation of one of the most turbulent periods in Colombia's recent history: the years of narco-terrorism, the institutional transformation that led to the 1991 Constitution, and the reconfiguration of the liberal political system around figures such as Virgilio Barco and Luis Carlos Galán. To that extent, it is not only the story of a privileged protagonist, but also another piece in the complex puzzle of public memory about power and democracy in Colombia.
